The C6 HMI LC is an ARM-based panel PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) system, combining visualization, control and remote maintenance in a single unit. An integrated micro-UPS enables non-volatile data to be securely saved in the event of power failure.

The logic controller can handle a range of SPS and HMI functions depending on the version of runtime used by the application.

Every panel has an aluminum frame with an IP66 protection rating. The top-of-the-line touch screens have brilliant displays with 16 million colors. A range of display formats are available.

C6 S14

Multi-talent with embedded technology

The C6 S14 product family uniquely combines visualization, control and remote maintenance functions, the scope of which depends on the runtime version used. This logic panel is already a true all-rounder and builds the bridge between embedded and IPC technology.

In addition to the resistive and capacitive touch technology as well as a wide range of different display formats with 16 million colors, the C6 S14 impresses with its integrated ¦ÌUSV, which enables the storage of remanent data in the event of a power failure.

The all-in-one motherboard contains two Ethernet interfaces, a configurable RS232 / 422/485 interface with MPI support, two USB interfaces and can optionally be supplied with isolated CAN interface.

C6 COMPACT

The compact PLC C6 Compact convinces with its efficient concept


KEB's C6 Compact embedded controller combines economy with flexibility and excellent performance. In addition to the real-time EtherCAT-Master, there are a number of slave interface options available (CANOpen, Profibus, Profinet RT, Interbus, EtherCAT, Powerlink) as well as a CAN-Master.

As a PLC, the Compact can take over the control of an entire system or serve as a lower-level controller. The real-time bus system provides coordination and synchronous progress of the axes and enables consistent communication and diagnostics on all levels up to the drive.

The control system has an effective design that uses no superimposed operating system, so it can dedicate all computing potential to soft-SPS and motion task applications.

In addition to real-time performance from each of the communication interfaces, the C6 Compact has four integrated digital inputs and four outputs. Expansion and decentralization of further I/O is controlled via EtherCAT bus, using an additional bus coupler.

Programming and code processing are handled using COMBIVIS Studio 6 software, which is based on standard IEC 61131-3.

Finally, a C6 HMI panel can easily be linked using Ethernet to enable remote maintenance tasks.

Today¡¯s modular machine designs require decentralized architecture. Conventional automation modules have begun to migrate from the conventional control cabinet directly into the installation. The new generation of KEB DIN rail IPCs is design precisely for this type of installation.

The C6 SMART is perfectly tailored to the runtime environment and real-time capability with a powerful processor for performing complex automation tasks. The integrated micro UPS and spacious onboard memory make the C6 SMART a robust, reliable system. The device takes up 47mm on the DIN rail and supports direct coupling with remote I/O modules.

A C6 Monitor can be incorporated to the decentralized installation using the SMART¡¯s integrated visualization support ¨C a DVI-D interface comes standard.

KEB¡¯s series of IPC panels are becoming an important part of the automation technology landscape due to their flexibility and scalability.

Versatile IPC panels from KEB are available in a range of sizes, formats, resolutions, and touch technologies. Users can also choose from a list of processors, data carriers, and optional interfaces.

The Box series IPC from KEB is designed for wall-mounting in control cabinets. Each version has a range of processor sand data carriers available, as well as a selection of optional interfaces. A local or decentralized C6 monitor can be connected via standard DVI connection up to 100 m away for display and visualization.

The C6 Box IPC with integral C6 monitor can be used to control machine processes and motion sequences, as well as visualization, data acquisition, and image processing. Optional remote maintenance software can be integrated to create a complete system for operation and maintenance.

All KEB IPCs are equipped with an integrated micro UPS to ensure all data is saved in the event of a sudden power failure.

New IPC series in book format

The C6 E22 BM is the new IPC series in book format and was specially designed for use in industrial control cabinets. The system is based on an Intel® Bay Trail™ platform, with quad-core Celeron J1900 2.0 GHz processor.

The fanless IPC is cooled by an internal passive heat sink and can operate in temperatures up to 50¡ãC with no extra measures needed for cooling. The C6 E22 BM has an input voltage of 24 VDC, with an integrated micro UPS based on four super-capacitors to ensure saving of required data on MRAM.

For additional control and visualization, KEB remote maintenance can be incorporated preventing the need for more costly hardware.

With its mounting design, the C6 P33 BM integrates in the series of the book format IPCs. Its functional equipment is designed for customer with demands for design, size and connection options, who prefer a vertical mounting solution.

Build in sturdy aluminum housing and realized for a rough industrial environment, all requirements on an ergonomic structure are complied.

The system is based on the Intel Celeron 3955U 64 bit dual core processor and offers three Ethernet and two USB 3.0 interfaces in combination with the ¡°All-in-One¡± motherboard. In addition, the user has a DVI-D video output or alternatively a remote video link connection (RJ45) for distances up to 100m at his disposal.

The line of C6 Monitors from KEB was designed to supplement the Box, Book Mount, and DIN Rail IPCs with an industrial monitor for visualization and operation of decentralized machine installations. With an extension module the monitor can provide graphics and touch technology up to 100 m away with only one cable.

The KEB range of displays feature robust, industrial monitors with integral touch screens in an attractive design. They are available in a variety of sizes and the customer can choose from a standard or widescreen display format.

C6 monitors are available with resistive or capacitive touch technology.



C6 Monitor

The C6 Monitor is part of KEB¡¯s industrial monitor product series, offering the user an industrial touch monitor with 16 million colors and resolution up to full HD.

The IP66 protection class of the monitors makes the monitors ideal for industrial installations. Depending on the environment and type of operation, customers can choose between two different versions of front panel: Aluminum (resistive touch technology) and Aluminum True Flat (capacitive touch technology).

The C6 AMM monitor offers customized designs for industrial applications. The configurable monitor system has up to eight freely-definable operating and/or signal elements in a completely sealed housing with IP65 protection.

The wide range of options available when customizing the monitor allow for optimal design of the HMI experience. Whether analog or digital, the recording and output of signals from a decentralized installation requires a suitable means of signal transmission. The KEB I/O system is based on the fast and economical Ethernet hardware with EtherCAT protocol standard on every module. EtherCAT provides the system with tried and tested real-time communication to every component.

KEB¡¯s remote I/O system is made with a 25 mm aluminum frame to meet the highest requirements in EMC resistance and provide high packing density.

The efficient plug-in design of the I/O modules enables fast assembly, easy connection, and easy exchange of units on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The spring-loaded connectors offer vibration resistance and the ability to remove the unit without special tools. Optional shield clamps are available to ensure proper grounding and provide strain relief to the connection lines.

With the KEB Remote I/O system you will be able to achieve high-performance decentralized I/O for any modular machine system.

A high standard of safety is vital in industrial automation settings. With each new machine generation there is an increasing emphasis on flexible programming for these features to ensure a place in the future-oriented market.

At KEB we have taken up this challenge and devised an innovative solution with the Safety PLC controller and Safety Remote I/O module. Our latest safety devices can be incorporated into an existing installation using EtherCAT. Real-time communication is achieved using EtherCAT with Safety over EtherCAT® (FSoE) certified safety protocol. With the Safety PLC any number of FSoE slaves can be linked, including the safety I/O module, or a KEB drive controller with safety module.

The programmable Safety PLC and Remote I/O module comply with the requirements of IEC 61508 SIL 3 and DIN EN ISO 13849-1 Ple safety standards. It is programmed with COMBIVIS Studio 6, which comes with safety function elements built in, allowing the user to design an application that meets safety requirements while saving time and money in the design process.

Having to make service calls to a job site is costly and time consuming, particularly when only a few parameters or lines of code need to be changed. COMBIVIS Connect software by KEB allows service technicians to make necessary changes remotely, saving on critical resources.

Safety and security of a user¡¯s data is an important consideration of remote maintenance. With this in mind, COMBIVIS Connect ensures compliance with maximum certified security and safety standards with the advantage of a worldwide network of servers.



C6 Router

The C6 VPN Router has been specially designed for use in remote installations and industrial settings.

The router is available in two hardware and two software versions. Users can select a model with direct hardwired internet connection via WAN port, or 2G/3G/3G+/4G/LTE wireless connection via any GSM network. This allows for greater flexibility in setting up an installation that allows for remote maintenance and commissioning.

The E1/M1 versions of the router have come with software designed solely for remote maintenance. They allow access to Ethernet and serial communication based devices down to the subnet level. With the implementation of visualization software, the E2/M2 versions provide the additional benefit of KEB¡¯s COMBIVIS Studio HMI software. Functions like data logging, alarm management, and analysis tools are just a few of the additional features of the E2/M2 version.

The C6 family of routers is completely hardware independent and can be used with any third party controls without restrictions. Thanks to the wide range of communication drivers available, linking to any controllers is fast and easy.
